With a wealth of practical knowledge in regards to meat processing, Peter joined our team in 1987. Overseeing both the international meat trading business and the Grain and Meals Division, Peter is also involved in strategic planning and operations. Peter and his wife Kerry love to travel - both domestically and overseas. Peter is a “rugby tragic” (especially true as Queensland Reds supporter). He also enjoys targeting greenbacks, lizards and elbow slappers along the gutters of Moreton (whatever that means), and loves the challenges of remote fishing in the NT. One day soon, Peter will land “A Metrey ”.

Coming on board in 2006, John has an in-depth knowledge of abattoirs and an unbridled enthusiasm for sales. John is passionate about the meat industry and is one of the most dynamic raw material sales professionals in Australia. John embraces the challenges of a hectic sales environment and knows there’s no substitute for hard work. In his spare time John enjoys travelling, snow boarding and camping, as well as collecting firewood with a stick rake and a D4. One day soon, he’ll succumb to his primal urge and buy that bigger boat and get back on the water.

Chris joined us in 2000, to establish the grain trading division. He has a thorough and honest approach, which has earned him the respect of both growers and feed millers throughout Australia. Chris balances his spare time between rugby coaching, family, fishing, boating and commuting. Chris has recently fallen back in love with cricket - and as Captain Coach – he successfully guided his side to second last in not one, but two competitions! One day soon, Chris will have the right amount on the right horse.

Brian joined the team in 2004, with a wealth of knowledge from all facets of the meat industry and now relishes working in the trading environment. Brian is famous for his attention to detail and easy-going manner. Also doubling as CJA’s Fire Warden, Brian can be seen with helmet on, marshalling evacuees during fire drills. Outside work, Brian enjoys the odd DIY project and relaxing with a coldie afterwards. He also fancies himself as a real estate guru and is always in search of a bargain. One day soon, Brian will get that sushi-rolling machine.

Alicia works remotely in Mackay, which allows her to balance family life and work. She’s responsible for our accounting department and keeps everyone in line, from her Tropical Hideaway. Her pleasant manner and ‘can-do attitude’ ensures seamless expediency of payments. Alicia strives for perfection in everything she does. She has recently seen real improvements in her grappling, becoming a more complete fighter; her speed and agility around the Octagon needs to be seen, to be believed! When not in the office or on the canvas, Alicia is busy looking after Maxie, Toby, Rosie and Ross.

Luis has over 25 years of international trade experience, throughout Australia and North and Central America. Luis looks after our imports and our Southern Market presence. Luis is well known to many of our European and North American suppliers. His experience, coupled with his ‘no nonsense approach’ ensures success in this section of our business. Away from work, Luis enjoys keeping fit by swimming, sailing and the occasional bike ride. Luis has also been known to cut a rug in the Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Zouk styles. One day soon, Luis will be able to swim faster than his kids.

Lisa has returned to the food sector after a spell working in government. Lisa’s organisational and planning skills are just what the Team at CJA were looking for to ensure the smooth and timely execution of all things administration. Lisa enjoys looking after the needs of both our suppliers and customers to ensure everyone continues to love dealing with Cory Johnston. Lisa relishes a challenge and is always on the look out to find ways and systems that streamline and improve work flows. When not working Lisa enjoys the great outdoors and all things sun, sand and surf and looks forward to heading off with her family on new adventures in their Stoney Creek RT Nugget .……. One day soon Lisa aspires to reach the top of the gateway bridge whilst on a luchtime run but this time with some of her workmates.
